ibuki sanmai Wa Handle
Anyone can attach wa handle! The most easiest way to attach wa handle.

We have successfully developed 3 layered wa handle.
As a tang is quite long and thin, except for Deba, it’s very difficult to make a straight hole according to the designed size even for a skilled blacksmith. During exploring other way without using drill press to make a hole, we successfully developed the handle 3 layers of materials sandwiching a tang. There’s less gap than ever.

It’s allowed to form in an exact shape and thickness of a tang, and simply sandwich between the each side. You don’t need any difficult process, can perform easily and accurately.

Some holes and stainless pins are inserted into it to fuse together for accelerating its strength, accuray and easiness.

Wa handle comes unassembled without any adhesive added.
Please simply attach to a tang with waterproof epoxy resin or a bond and perform fine adjustment if needed.

Ebony wood is the hardest and most water-resistant of all. Processing Ebony wood is difficult, and it is expensive because it is a prized wood. But it is beautiful and elegant, and is also highly durable so it is mostly used in upscale knives and expensive furniture and fountain pen.
