The knife is forged by Mr. Daisuke Nishida and is one of the highest grade, superb examples of Japanese knives, using Yasuki white 2 steel.
Daisuke NIshida mainly focus to make by hand-forged in the traditional way, so he hasn't make knives made of containing blade material , as it has been done for hundreds of years in Japan.Also his factory who make blade edging,making handle and custom knife making are integrated manufacture.
Our highly acclaimed Daisuke Nishida knives has renewed in the summer of 2025. Retaining its sharp cutting edge, we chose white 2 steel, which is easy to sharpen.
The surface finish has been carefully polished to emphasize the strength of the hand-forged knife.
Japanese Tansetsu ancient Warikomi techniques
Japanese traditional techniques of knife making from forge welding (the process of hammering and forging steel and soft iron) to finishing, Forged soft iron steel are split with a chisel and core blade of Japanese Yasuki Hagane steel was buried. Mr. Daisuke Nishida is one of the very few blacksmiths who has a skills of Japanese Tansetsu ancient Warikomi techniques.
