Shirabiki shiragaki Knife Tsunesaburo Hand forged Blue 2 steel BW15
The Shirabiki knife handcrafted by master plane maker Tsunezaburo, who forged the blade over an open fire and shaped it by hand.
2026 Hand forged model
In woodworking, a Japanese “shirabiki” or "shiragaki" is a cutting tool used to mark wood with lines that are far finer and more precise than those made with ink or a pencil. Because it creates a mark by carving a narrow V-shaped groove with its sharp blade, the line does not fade like a pencil mark, and it is used as a guide to ensure precise placement of chisels and saws.
