This is an especially sharp and to whet well high class hardness Japanese knife blade, using core blade Blue-2 steel from Yasuki hagane, which is reputed to be the top grade of steel for knives.

There is a scratch and tiny cracks near the end of the blade. It's almost impossible to tell just by looking at it. There are some tiny cracks and a scratches of the knife. Another part are great finish. So the blades can be used without problems.
