The knife is forged by Mr. Kentaro Kamimura and is one of the highest grade, superb examples of Japanese knives, using Yasuki steel. He mainly focus to make by hand-forged in the traditional way, so he hasn't make knives made of containing blade material , as it has been done for hundreds of years in Japan.
As the blade has an edge guard point, you can use to swing down without crack blade.

The back side of blade has a long dimple, so it's easily separable from branches.
