The kit is include 2 handles and a hammered iron ring bolster.
1. wooden blank of Bombay black wood
2. ready-made Japanese Quercus myrsinifolia wooden handle. *You can set it with ease.

The knife is forged by Mr. Nasatada Matsumoto and is one of the highest grade, superb examples of Japanese knives, using Yasuki Blue 2 steel. He mainly focus to make by hand-forged in the traditional way, so he hasn't make knives made of containing blade material , as it has been done for hundreds of years in Japan.

Note: lightly Polished finish blade has some slight scratch line, tiny rust and crack on the blade, it's not defective. 
Masa tada maily makes knives for woodworker of daily use and good price, fished lightly Polished. So it have some slight scratch line, tiny rust and crack on the blade. Please understanding for this. It was made of highest steel material and  San Mai-Japanese Tansetsu ancient Warikomi method.

The wood is very very hard, water-resistant, antibacterial material, strength and good hand touch wood. The hardest wood in Japan is Hardly warped, providing strength and resistance to aging, so it is used as expensive furniture and fountain pens.

Note: The Bombay black wood has a greater specific gravity than other woods. The wooden color is light brown.
